Investors lose ₹6 lakh crore as Sensex, Nifty fall 1%

BSE Sensex and Nifty dropped 1% to 82,828 points and 25,545 points, respectively, during early trading on February 13. Investor wealth, as measured by the BSE market capitalisation, declined by ₹6.39 lakh crore to ₹4.65 lakh crore. All 16 major BSE sectors opened in the red, triggered by a massive global IT stock sell-off triggered by increasing AI-related concerns.
