Investors lose ₹7 lakh crore as Sensex, Nifty crash over 1%

Investors lost more than ₹7 lakh crore from their wealth as benchmark indices Sensex and Nifty crashed over 1% each on Tuesday. Sensex lost 1,235 points to end at 75,838.3, while Nifty lost 320 points to close at 23,024.6. Zomato, Adani Ports, NTPC, and ICICI Bank were the top losers on Sensex. UltraTech Cement and HCLTech were the only gainers.
