Investors lose ₹8 lakh crore at open as Sensex bleeds amid US-Iran conflict

Investors lost over ₹8 lakh crore within the first few minutes of Monday's market session as the Sensex opened 2,743 points lower. However, the benchmark index pared some losses to trade 1,033 points lower at 80,275.15 as of 10:30 am. The major conflict in the Middle East following American and Israeli strikes on Iran triggered the decline.
