Investors receive zero returns from the Sensex in last 2 years

Benchmark indices Sensex, which is now hovering near a two-year low, has delivered zero returns to investors during this period. In FY26, the Sensex dropped over 7% to nearly 72,000. It had reached a high of 86,159.02 last year. Weak earnings, heavy Foreign Institutional Investors (FIIs) outflows, global tensions and delayed US Federal Reserve rate cuts dragged markets through FY26.
