iPad's Apple SIM can no longer be used for activating cellular plans

Apple SIM can no longer be used for activating new cellular data plans on supported iPad models, its support document showed. Users will now have to use an eSIM or a new physical SIM card in order to activate a data plan for their tablet. Apple SIM was designed to let iPad users activate cellular data plans from multiple carriers.
