Chennai will host Jallikattu Premier League, an Indian Premier League-styled event for the bull-taming sport of jallikattu, on January 7. Around 500 participants from 17 districts of Tamil Nadu are expected at the event, while bulls belonging to MPs and MLAs will be used. This comes as the Supreme Court is hearing a case challenging the law that legalises jallikattu.
