Police and Revenue services officers have filed a petition to the 7th pay commission for scrapping the Centre's empanelment process for appointments to the posts of secretary, additional secretary and joint secretary. This has lead Administrative officers from 10-12% at director level to over 75% at secretary levels. They have also asked the panel to consider giving them more pay than IAS.
