IPS officer CV Anand appointed new Hyderabad Police Commissioner

In a bureaucratic shuffle, IPS officer CV Anand was appointed the new Hyderabad Commissioner of Police on Saturday. Anand, who replaced Anjani Kumar, said that his top priority is to maintain law and order as well as ensure the "safety and security" of residents of Hyderabad. Anjani Kumar has taken charge as the Director-General of Anti Corruption Bureau (ACB).
