IPS officer known as 'Assam's Singham' resigns to pursue 'freedom'

Senior police officer Anand Mishra, popularly known as 'Assam's Singham', has tendered his resignation to pursue "a life of freedom". In his resignation letter, the IPS officer said he seeks to pursue "other social and personal goals". He was part of an SIT probing the Manipur violence. As per reports, he's likely to join BJP in his home state Bihar.
