Iran, Egypt object to 'Pride Match' branding for WC 2026 fixture

Iran and Egypt have lodged formal protests with FIFA after Seattle's local organising committee designated their FIFA World Cup 2026 group-stage game as a 'Pride Match'. Iranian Football Federation President Mehdi Taj condemned the move as "unreasonable conduct that supports a specific group".
