Iran allows ships carrying humanitarian aid to cross Strait of Hormuz

Iran has agreed to "facilitate and expedite" humanitarian aid through the Strait of Hormuz, Iranian ambassador to the United Nations Ali Bahreini said. Bahreini added that Iran accepted a request from the UN to let humanitarian aid and agricultural shipments move through the critical waterway. Earlier, Iran allowed oil and gas tankers from some nations to pass through the strait.
