Iran appoints Fatemeh Mohajerani as 1st female govt spokesperson

Iran has appointed 54-year-old Fatemeh Mohajerani as its first female government spokesperson. President Pezeshkian made the appointment in a cabinet meeting on Wednesday, Iranian media reported. Mohajerani, a Doctor of Business Administration from Edinburgh, has earlier served as the head of the Technical and Vocational Training University of Shariati (for women) in the 11th government.
