Iran arrests 3 filmmakers in less than 1 week amid govt crackdown

Iran has arrested prominent filmmaker Jafar Panahi, the third arrest in less than a week amid a crackdown by the government, reports stated on Tuesday. Panahi had reportedly gone to the prosecutor's office to check on his colleagues, who were detained recently when he was also imprisoned. Panahi has been reportedly sent to jail to serve a previous prison term.
