Iran fired on a Singapore-flagged cargo ship as it attempted to pass through Strait of Hormuz, two US officials told Reuters. According to UK Maritime Trade Operations, the vessel reported being struck by a projectile near the coast of Oman. This came after Iran said that safe passage through the strait would only be possible through routes designated by Iran.
