Iran condemns attempted drone attack on Mecca that was likely launched by its ally Houthis

Iran has condemned the attempted drone attack on Saudi holy city of Mecca that was likely launched by its ally Houthis. "Any aggression against Islamic holy sites...as well as threats to their pilgrims...is a condemned act," Iran said. However, Iran defended the Houthis, saying, "A mere claim of intercepting a drone...cannot constitute grounds for accusing a specific party."
