Iran declares 'victory' after Trump announces ceasefire; to reopen Hormuz
Iran said it would allow safe passage through Strait of Hormuz for two weeks if attacks against it are halted, after US President Donald Trump announced a two-week ceasefire. Iran’s Supreme National Security Council described the agreement as a "victory". The country's Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi said, "If attacks against Iran are halted, our Armed Forces will cease...defensive operations."
