Iran denies Trump's claim that it asked for a ceasefire

Iran on Wednesday rejected statements made by US President Donald Trump regarding a ceasefire. Iran's foreign ministry spokesperson said Trump's remarks claiming Tehran requested a ceasefire were "false and baseless". Earlier today, Trump said "Iran's New Regime President" had requested him for a ceasefire, adding that he'd consider it if the Strait of Hormuz was "open, free and clear".
