Iran football team ordered to leave USA immediately after World Cup match, claims head coach

Iran head coach Amir Ghalenoei said they were ordered to leave USA and return to their base in Mexico immediately after their 2-2 FIFA World Cup 2026 draw against New Zealand in Los Angeles. Ghalenoei said players couldn't do a recovery session due to it. "I think perhaps our team is the most repressed team in...whole World Cup," he added.
