Iran forces Chinese ship to take U-turn as it tightens control over Strait of Hormuz
A Chinese bulk carrier, 'SUN PROFIT', was forced to turn back after Iran denied it passage through the Strait of Hormuz, Iran's Consulate General in Mumbai said. "Contrary to popular belief, Iran doesn’t give blanket approval to Chinese ships," it added. "US failed to uphold its end of the understanding, so oversight over the strait...has now tightened," it further said.
