Iran mocks Rubio's Taj Mahal visit, says 'Iranians built it for Shah Jahan's Iranian wife'

Iran's Consulate General in Hyderabad said US Secretary of State Marco Rubio "wouldn't have posed for a picture" at the Taj Mahal if he "knew the history or architecture". "This monument was built out of love for the emperor's [Shah Jahan] Iranian wife [Mumtaz], crafted by...Iranian architects," it said. "Meanwhile, his government...threatens to wipe out Iranian civilisation," it added.
