Iran names Esmail Qaani as new chief of Quds Force after Soleimani's killing

Iran has appointed Esmail Qaani to lead Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps' Quds Force after its previous commander, Major General Qassem Soleimani, was killed in a US air strike on Friday. Qaani served as Soleimani's second-in-command. The Quds Force's program of action "will stay exactly the same" as it was under Soleimani, Iranian Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei said.
