Iran offers to 'mediate' between India and Pakistan

Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif on Saturday expressed his country's willingness to mediate between India and Pakistan if the two countries so desired. "Iran is a close friend of India as well as Pakistan. We would like the relations between our friends to improve," he added. Zarif is currently in India for the Heart of Asia summit in Amritsar.
