Iran passes law allowing women to ride motorcycles

Iran’s regime has passed a law formally allowing women to obtain licences to ride motorcycles, local media reported. The announcement comes amid widespread protests in the country, triggered by economic stagnation and a falling national currency. Earlier, while there was no explicit ban on women riding motorbikes or scooters, authorities had refused to issue licences to women, report added.
