Iran preparing thousands of graves as Khamenei's funeral sparks fears of mass casualties

Iranian officials have drawn up emergency plans anticipating anywhere between 1,500-3,000 fatalities during the days-long funeral processions of former Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, German newspaper Die Welt reported. It said officials have prepared thousands of fresh graves in Behesht-e Zahra cemetery. Iranian officials are preparing for crowd crushes and possible security threats.
