Iran President Hassan Rouhani declares end of Islamic State

Iranian President Hassan Rouhani on Tuesday declared the end of ISIS, although he acknowledged that the remnants of the militant group will remain. A senior military commander thanked "thousands of martyrs" killed in operations organised by Iran to defeat the militant group in Syria and Iraq. The Syrian Army had declared victory over the Islamic State earlier this month.
