Iran rejects ceasefire offer, says 'No peace until US & Israel are brought to their ​knees'

Iran's newly-appointed Supreme Leader, Mojtaba Khamenei, has rejected proposals aimed at reducing tensions or securing a ceasefire with the US, a senior Iranian official told Reuters. He said it's not "the right time for peace until the US ​and Israel are brought to their ​knees, ⁠accept defeat, and pay compensation". His stance on seeking revenge is "very tough and serious".
