Iran's President Masoud Pezeshkian, in an open letter to American people, said his country harbours no enmity towards other nations. He said portraying Iran as threat was "neither consistent with historical reality nor with present-day facts". The letter traced Iran's distrust of US policies to a series of historical events. Pezeshkian urged Americans to look beyond "misinformation".
