Iran repackages toll imposed on ships using Strait of Hormuz as 'environment' fee

Iran's Foreign Ministry spokesperson Esmaeil Baqaei said the money Iran is collecting from ships passing through Strait of Hormuz isn't a toll but a fee for navigation and environmental protection. Repackaging the toll, Baqaei said, "We're not levying any taxes, and we don't wish to collect any tolls." He called the fee a "very responsible move" by Iran and Oman.
