Iran's late Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei's funeral to begin on 250th Independence Day of US

Iran's late Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei, who was killed in US-Israeli strikes on February 28, will be buried four months after his death on July 9. His funeral will begin in Tehran on ​July 4, which will coincide with 250th Independence Day of the United States. ​The funeral will conclude with ⁠burial in ​Mashhad, the hometown of Khamenei.
