Iran says it reached Hormuz route deal with Oman, finalising map & joint statement

Iran and Oman have reached an understanding over the route for transiting Strait of Hormuz, an Iranian official said. “But we still plan, to finalise the understanding in form of a package: the map and joint statement,” he added. Under the deal, ships would enter Hormuz via northern route along Iran’s coast and exit via southern route along Oman’s coast.
