Iran says passenger plane 'harassed' over Syria by US fighter jets

An Iranian passenger plane en route to Lebanon's Beirut was "harassed" by two US fighter jets on Thursday, Iranian authorities said. A US official said that an F-15 was conducting a "visual inspection" of a Mahan Air passenger airliner "at a safe distance" over Syrian airspace. Several passengers onboard were injured after the pilot changed altitude to avoid collision.
