Iran threatens to completely block Bab el-Mandeb Strait along with Strait of Hormuz

As it suspended peace talks with the US over Israel's continued attacks on Hezbollah in Lebanon, Iran threatened to block the Bab el-Mandeb Strait along with the Strait of Hormuz. The Bab el-Mandeb Strait connects the Red Sea to the Gulf of Aden and the Arabian Sea and narrows to about 29 kilometres at its tightest point.
