Irani Cup 2024, day 1: Rahane closes in on ton, Shaw fails

Mumbai captain Ajinkya Rahane scored 86* off 197 on the opening day of the Irani Cup 2024 against the Rest of India. Prithvi Shaw had a failure as his booming drive was caught spectacularly by diving Devdutt Padikkal in the slips for 4(7). Shreyas Iyer (57) and Sarafaraz Khan (54*) played their part as Mumbai went to stumps at 237-4.
