Iranian plot to assassinate scientist & mayor thwarted: Israel

Israeli security officials have foiled an Iranian plot to assassinate an Israeli scientist and mayor, authorities said. The seven suspects, some of whom are Israeli nationals, are all residents of Beit Safafa, an Arab neighbourhood of Jerusalem. The main suspect, a 23-year-old man, recruited others to complete the assigned tasks. Notably, the identities of the targets were not publicly disclosed.
