Iranian singer arrested for performing online concert without hijab

Iranian authorities on Saturday arrested 27-year-old singer Parastoo Ahmadi after she performed an online concert without wearing a hijab, a lawyer confirmed. The video uploaded on YouTube showed the singer alongside four male musicians. "I'm Parastoo, a girl who wants to sing for the people I love," she wrote along with the video, which has garnered over 1.6 million views.
