Iranian singer Parastoo Ahmadi sentenced to 74 lashes for singing without Hijab

Iranian singer Parastoo Ahmadi has been sentenced to 74 lashes for performing without a hijab in a concert livestreamed on her YouTube channel in 2024. Along with the 29-year-old singer, eight other people involved in production, including musicians, received the same sentence, according to a report from The Guardian. They've been barred from doing any artistic work for two years.
