Iranians celebrate as Democrats seize control of US Congress

Thousands took to the streets across Iran to celebrate Democrats claiming control of both chambers of the US Congress in the midterm elections. “Whether out of conscience or the cost of living, Americans said NO TO WAR, and we endorse this message,” Iran’s Parliament Speaker said. The gatherings also marked 47 years since the 1979 US Embassy takeover in Tehran.
