Iraqi troops supported by Shi'ite militias launched an offensive to retake the country's biggest province Anbar from the Islamic State on Monday. The offensive will target the provincial capital Ramadi and Falluja, the first city in Iraq to fall under the militants' control 18 months ago. The main assault on Falluja is expected to start after Eid later this week.
