IRCTC told to pay ₹20,000 for cancelling woman's train ticket 1 hour before departure

The district consumer forum in Hyderabad has ordered IRCTC to pay ₹20,000 as compensation to a woman for cancelling her confirmed tickets for 2AC just one hour before the train's departure. The bench found that IRCTC didn't provide any reason for the cancellation or for deducting ₹470 while refunding the fare. It also ordered IRCTC to refund ₹470 with interest.
