Ireland's 1st satellite EIRSAT-1 successfully launches into space

Ireland's 1st satellite, the Educational Irish Research Satellite (EIRSAT-1), has successfully launched into space from California's Vandenberg Space Force Base. Designed and built by students from University College Dublin, EIRSAT-1 was launched using a SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket. It will carry out three main experiments in low Earth orbit, including one to study gamma-ray bursts.
