Irom Chanu Sharmila, who has been on hunger strike for nearly 14 years, was released from captivity in Manipur on Wednesday, after a local court rejected charges of attempted suicide against her. However, she said that she will continue her protest against the Armed Forces Special Powers Act. The 42-year-old activist's release also means she can't be force-fed anymore.
