IRS official Sanjay Kumar Agarwal takes over as CBIC Chairman

Sanjay Kumar Agarwal has taken over as the Chairman of the Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs (CBIC), succeeding Vivek Johri. The CBIC took to social media on Monday to share a picture of Agarwal in office. Agarwal, who is a 1988 batch Indian Revenue Service (IRS) official, earlier held the charge of CBIC member compliance management.
