Is Bar Association's decision not to represent accused in Ram Mandir case legal?

Ayodhya Bar Association's resolution barring its members from representing the eight accused in Ram Mandir donation theft case is contrary to law. In a 2010 judgement, the Supreme Court held that such bans are "against all norms of...Constitution, the Statute and professional ethics". Additionally, Article 22(1) of Constitution guarantees every accused the right to legal counsel of their choice.
