Is New York Stock Exchange, Nasdaq open on New Year’s Day 2026?

The New York Stock Exchange and Nasdaq will be closed on January 1 for New Years Day. The final trading session of 2025 is December 31, with normal hours from 9:30 am to 4:00 pm ET. Trading resumes Friday, January 2, marking the first session of 2026. Bond markets will also be closed on January 1.
