Isaac Asimov taught me how to read the world: Prof Jiang Xueqin

Professor Jiang Xueqin traced his geopolitical analysis method to Isaac Asimov’s Foundation series, which he read as a teenager. Psychohistory means viewing human history across tens of thousands of years until patterns emerge, he said, then modelling them to extrapolate how events will unfold. In his formative years, he learnt a lot from him.
