Islamic State controls over two-thirds of the armored American Humvee vehicles supplied to Iraq to counter the militants, according to Iraqi Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi. ISIS has seized 2,300 humvees, mostly after they overran Mosul in June 2014. The militants regularly use humvees as suicide bombing vehicles as they're designed to carry heavy loads and sustain small-arms fire.
