Israel approves measures for Palestine following rare leaders meet

Israeli Defence Minister Benny Gantz has approved measures aimed at better ties with Palestine after a rare meeting with President Mahmoud Abbas in Tel Aviv. Abbas, who met an Israeli official inside Israel for first time since 2010, discussed security coordination in occupied West Bank. Gantz approved "confidence-building measures" including transfer of tax payments to the Palestinian Authority.
