Israel bans mosques from using loudspeakers for prayer calls
Israeli National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir has instructed police to ban mosques from broadcasting Islamic call to prayer over loudspeakers. He further directed the police to confiscate the loudspeaker equipment found to be used in the mosques, reports claimed. "Prayer is a fundamental right, but it cannot come at the expense of the residents' quality of life," he said.
