Israel could've shot down Flydubai plane with over 170 people on board if Indian captain hadn't opened the cockpit after his co-pilot stabbed him to pull off 9/11-style terror attack. In extreme scenario, if hijacked aircraft doesn't respond to signals from fighter pilots, Israeli PM could potentially order it to be shot down. However, the plane never entered Israeli airspace.
