Israel has historical and biblical rights to Middle East: US envoy

US Ambassador to Israel Mike Huckabee claimed Israel has “historical and biblical rights” to Middle East and said it would be fine if it “took it all.” When asked by an interviewer if he would support Israel expanding across the region, Huckabee backtracked. He called his earlier remark a “hyperbolic statement”, saying it wasn't meant to be taken literally.
